anyway,we might change the engine of my tito's hammer,medyo nababagalan kami eh,because of the huge tires.bka makina ng truck,isuzu ata,kami nalang mag coconvert.naiiwanan nung gamit namin last election.kaya usually sa bahay lang naka park.

for those who are interested,ok ang amc hammer for prov. use nakaka sindak talaga,hehe,na issue pa nga sa prov. namin yun last election eh,well,anyway that shows that it caught there attention,natakot sila,we didnt encounter any major probs yet with our unit, puro mga minor probs lang,like overheating,because of the radiator,i think it needs to be replaced,we had it overhauled na kce.and the other door was stuck,hindi ma buksan,so far yun lang naman,i was the one who usesess it in the prov. so i notifce if there s prob.

nikko m::: Baka hindi engine ang kailangan nyo palitan, surplus diffs have 4.56 or sometimes 4.88 gearing ratio. ang kailangan nyo for more speed 4.11 pero mahihirapan naman paikutin ang malalaking goma like 35" and above.

You need diff gears 5.29 or better to lug those big tires around. Kaso mahal ang gears. hehehehe. Unless may alam kang fabricator which can build them for you.

hehehe. ok lang naman dito sa tabi tabi.

maybe i can also suggest to try muna change it to a manual transmission. im sure that would also make a lot of difference. mabagal kasi talaga pag automatic transmission.

also the change of the diffs would be another option like what ungas & otep suggested.
if those two still wont work and the unit still feel sluggish, then thats when changing to a bigger engine can be done.

medyo malaking work na agad kung change engine ang gagawin sa unit., unlike sa change tranny or differentials. atleast magagamit pa din 4x4. pag change na sa truck engine baka hindi mag-match yung differential sa harap.

anyways do let me know if you need anything for the unit. i might be able to help source them out for you.

Most mechanics I talked to know only of two ratios, high speed and low speed. Nyek!

hello may dude...We were really a die hard fan of AMC HAMMER here in abroad, sunusundan namin ang mga pos tungkol dto even our Arab friends here were really amaze na gawang pinoy ang mga hammer na to. Tlagang macho ang dating, actually pinuntahan nga ng isang kasama namin dito ang showroom office nila nung nag vacation cya, talagang astig daw tingnan. Alam namin na ine-export na to sa Australia, galing talaga ng gawang pinoy. Pero sana makilala pa to sa buong pilipinas at sa ibang part ng mundo. Every one nga dto sabe pag uwe ko bibile kame ng hammer (wala namang pera hehehehe..) pero serious speaking!! gusto talaga namin ang AMC HAMMER (mga 4x4 lover kame rito). But the problem is we have not enough big money to give a one big shot. Kaya nga sabe ng iba manag inip na lang kame hehehehe...

Kaya sana mag karoon naman ang AMC HAMMER ng promo para sa mga kababayan nilang bilib sa gawang PILIPINO na nais magkaroon ng unit nila...like Financing term,,,,(low down payment and zero interst plan) gaya ba ng mga promo sa dealer ng ibang manufacturer. Suguro if this happen marami ang kukuha at isa na ko don (ehhhhem). Sana mabasa ito ng owner ng AMC hammer...kung pwede nga lang sumulat kame sa wish ko lang eh (hehehehehe) sumulat na kame!!! Joke lang....But any way sana makilala at tangkilikin pa natin ang gawang PILIPINO.
