btw sir, mas malakas pa ito kaysa toyota altis? ung sa wife ko 108hp daw eh, paggamit ko yun parang mas mabilis pa sya sa lxi ko.

o.t. what modifications can we do to gain more horsepower for our lxi, tried simota air filter, all it does is accumulate dirt in throtle body, lagi nagloloko rpm ko.

siguro dahil vtec na rin atils, mas may bubuga yun. no doubt mas malakas altis sa LXi, mas mabilis ako makahit ng 160kph sa altis namin dati. baka greater torque ang altis than LXi. sa LXi kailangan ng mahabang road para umabot ng 160kph unlike the altis.
75hp yung LXi? hmmm... baka whp with full load. yung specs na yan hp lang talaga. not that sure though. honda casa specs po yang post ko.

only way to gain power is IHE upgrade pero parang not worth it for me. get a better power plant na lang than spend on the upgrade. i think yung d15b 20 cams 30k - 40k kasama kabit. the IHE upgrade abot ka ng 20k (doing the right setup). kaya change engine na lang IMO.
simota? i tried that before, walang gains and parang naging less torque pa than stock. ganyan din yung kinabit ko twister ko dati, kailangan linisin IACV and TB. kaya kinalas ko na lang then donate it to my friend.

May 10th, 2010 09:57 PM #8The Altis may accelerate faster than the LXi because of the torque difference.
3ZZ-FE engine has 150 NM of TQ, while the LXi has ~135 NM of TQ at a higher RPM.
Mas mahina yung LXi engine sa lower RPM range, while it's more powerful nearer to its redline.
The higher torque = mas mabilis sa arangkada (lalo from a standstill)
The higher HP = faster to reach top speed (esp when all other things held equal)
There's probably a better/more correct explanation for this, pero ito na yung medyo simple.Last edited by mda; May 10th, 2010 at 10:00 PM.

agree, nung nagsubic kami, dala namin ni misis yung altis '02 niya, 2 lang kami sakay, napaabot ko ng 180kph sa sctex, pero matagal din to reach that speed, di ko na sinagad kasi may parang beeping sound ako naririnig sa engine. nung dala namin yung lxi ko, hanggang 170kph lang sa sctex, long stretch to gain that speed at medyo downhill yung strech ng kalsada, 2 kami plus my mom and my lola na natutulog ang sakay, hehehe.
