Civic ESI doesn't have a vtec engine., everybody know's dat, pano kung pinalitan ng engine? nagpalit ng vtec engine? e di meron ng esi na vtec
naisip ko kc kugn napalitan na ng engine ung sakin, kc ask ko ung frend ko kung stock, sabi nya d daw stock kc iba ang makina ng stock esi, now i'm not sure wat engine tong nka kabit sakin.. basta ang nkalagay sa engine number ang start my ZC,so naisip ko ZC engine tong ESI.. nabili ko na po tong esi na to..... dko lang malaman pa talaga wat engine ba to!!
noob pa kc ako sa engine![]()
I suggest before you argue over what engine YOU have in your car, you might want to put your head under the hood and see for yourself what is stamped on the engine.
Honestly, you may have a D15 engine BUT that doesn't automatically make it better or faster than a standard Civic ESi because there are many versions of the D15 engine, many of which makes just barely more HP than the original ESi engine.
You just made a similar thread !

And may I remind you ... DO NOT POST IN SMS/TXT FORMAT !
THANKS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR !
It looks exactly like an ESi engine with an air-filter and headers attached. There's no VTEC solenoid, so it's not a JDM D15B, but it's difficult to tell the difference between a non-VTEC EFI D15 and a non-VTEC D16 without looking at the engine type stamped on the block.
The very fact that it's EFI and non-VTEC means it's probably a local D16 (PH16). The lower-end LXi only came with a carbureted D15.
If you have the registration papers, you can check whether the engine's been changed.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
1) There are many versions of the ZC engine - there's even a SOHC and DOHC ZC (it's the only DOHC D-series). What will determine its VTEC capability is its cylinder head as VTEC is nothing more than a valvetrain technology.
2) One cannot guess what engine resides in that car unless you look at the code stamped on the block. Better if you take a Honda-knowledgeable engine specialist mechanic with you when you inspect the car, because it's very common to have cylinder-head swaps on same-series Honda engines as well (e.g. PH15/D15B non-VTEC bestowed VTEC by swapping in a VTEC head = "mini-me" conversion).
mga sir ito po nkalagay sa engine block or engine number:
