I am aiming a used but in good condition crv, I know the owner.

    Its a 1998 honda crv, gen1 - 4x4, automatic

I just would like to know the usual fuel consumption, especially if you drive one.

Does the manual and automatic models have huge difference?

And whats the usual issue I should be checking if ever?

    Thank you so much!

Mine does 6 km to 7 km on city driving, thing to look out for is the transmission especially if matic, see if the shifting is smooth and no sudden or violent jerks when it shifts.

Average fuel consumption is around 9-10 km/L. My CRV 98 (automatic transmission) can still run at 160kph or more. However, I seldom do it.

I recently purchased a Mazda 6 diesel so I'm selling this CRV 98. My brother won't take this vehicle because he is a fan of diesel engines.

My estimate is that for city driving would be around 6-8 km/L and highway driving could be 10-11 km/L. I have faithfully recorded my kilometer reading and the number of liters to full tank capacity. Very seldom that I would have an average of 11 km/L.
