Seems Honda is finally listening...4 Doors, cool, I can convince my wife we need this, and much more affordable than the M5 I'm drooling over.

Then again, besides the aesthetic bells and whistles and sport suspension, all I see in terms of engine work is an exhaust mod?? C'mon now!

    In my inbox:

    http://automobiles.honda.com/future-...-si-sedan.aspx

The renowned performance specialists at Mugen have teamed up with Honda to parent the first four-door Civic Si to wear a Mugen badge. Sporting maxed-out aerodynamics and a Mugen "cat-back" sports exhaust system, the 2008 Civic Mugen Si Sedan is scheduled to hit the streets this fall.

The track-tuned sport suspension was tested on the arcs of Twin Ring Motegi. Everything works in aggressive harmony with lightweight, forged aluminum 18" wheels wrapped in high-grip BFGoodrich g-Force KDW 215/40 Z R18 tires.

Get a closer look at the ultimate street-performance Civic Mugen Si Sedan and sign up to be one of the first to know more.

    And from their website:

Soon to stun the Si scene in fall 2007, the inspired MUGEN Civic Si Sedan goes from "Formula Sport" concept to a sports car enthusiast's reality. Co-developed by Honda and MUGEN, the Civic MUGEN Si Sedan adds an aggressive dimension of performance to the Civic Si Sedan with a Twin Ring Motegi track-tuned suspension, aerodynamic body styling and a performance exhaust system. The suspension lowers the vehicle by 15 mm with highly aggressive spring and damper tuning for enhanced handling performance. The full-vehicle aero-package adds a front spoiler and sports grille, side spoilers, a rear diffuser and an adjustable rear wing. The lightweight, MUGEN forged aluminum wheels measure 18 x 7.5 inches and include high-performance 215/40R18 rubber. Honda will produce a limited release of 1,000 MUGEN Si Sedan models, which will carry an under-$30K price tag. Honda lovers, rev your engines and get highway ready, because Honda sets the MUGEN free in the fall of 2007.

Hehe, true that, but I bet the Civic still gets better mileage and resale value.

Wonder why tho...what is it about Hondas?

I also prefer the 2-door coupe over the 4-door. It'd be nice though if Honda stuffs the Type-R engine on the Mugen Si.

    Torque Steer FTL!

I'd rather spend my money on a base model pontiac solstice/saturn sky redline, mazda miata or even an 07 mustang rather than an all aesthetic $30k car..
