Kopal thread yun.
Although frankly, ako gusto ko rin magkaron ng SiR for the sake of having one. Pero iniisip ko rin, bilis lang naman kasi panlaban nito eh marami naman kotse diyan which you can get for a cheaper price tapos tune mo makakauna ka na rin ng SiR eh. However, stock vs. stock talagang classic power niyan Civic na yan. And when the VTEC kicks in, boooooy it's music to the ears.
But then again, mahirap na makakuha ng stock na SiR. Suntok sa buwan nalang yan. Kadalasan makikita mo cleanly-modded or ricer.
Rare yun. Meron ako nakita sa pistonbay, fresh unit. Ewan ko lang kung andun pa yun.

hehehe OA naman yung benta ng iba sa SiR... sa sulit may nakita ako 500k at usually 330-350 parin ang bentahan ng 12yr old na civic... tinalo pa nya yung yr 99' na accord to think halos 1M isa nun. 675k lang naman SiR dati.. Pero if ever mag benta sila ng brand new ng SiR ngaun bibili ako kahit 800k pa siya hehehehe

I agree that the Civic SiR is hard to come by especially the all stock ones. Why not consider a stock 99 - 00 Civic Vti?
You still have some bucks to spend for some repairs.

March 21st, 2012 01:53 PM #18for 300K, i would have bought....
AN ALTIS!! (or a vios..)
heh heh.
i have come to my age wherein i just want to get in and drive, not to get under and dirty..
yan din ang sabi sakin some time ago.. all SIRs are suspect of having been modified and/or raced some time in their existence.. thus, avoid them unless you know very well the owner..
p.s. what's "kopal" ? it doesn't seem to register in my geriatric dictionary..Last edited by dr. d; March 21st, 2012 at 01:57 PM.

March 21st, 2012 03:45 PM #19In fairness the Civic SiR is actually relatively fuel efficient if you drive it as you would a normal car. 1.6L lang naman din yun eh. No need to fret about fuel expenses, you can even use it as your daily driver. As many folks said here, mahirap makahanap na bone stock, unraced SiR for sale. We had one in the family before, in orange and with body kit, big exhaust and spoiler no less. Pinangkakarera nila yan and I remember naka-ilang aksidente na yan to the point na nagkaroon na ng engine damage, even the front suspension arms have been changed!
If you are looking for a fast weekend car, I suggest you consider looking for the newest M/T Accord you can find. AFAIK merong 2.0L and 2.3L versions. Those are really fast as well, much more spacious and comfortable and these are more likely to be treated better than their smaller cousins and also less likely to have been raced and/or heavily modified.

Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
