    hi,

need help on finding a reliable a/t specialist. i drive a 2002 civic 1.5at lxi. biglang nawalan ng hatak habang umaandar, parang biglang nag neutral yung kotse. almost 4000rpm na bago mag shift uli yung sasakyan.

brought the car to honda, and thy said that it was a transmission problem. quoted approx php60t for the repair. was wondering if there are those in the community who had this problem who can share where you had your car repaired (outside of the casa). di ko kaya ipagawa sa casa kaya sana may other options kayong matuturo. i live in quezon city.

    thanks in advance

loosing power? kahit anong tapak mo ayaw umarangkada? torque converter hula ko

IMO get a surplus tranny rather than getting it repaired.

EDIT: sa banawe marami surplus. just make sure na may warranty. usually kasi repair kits dont last more than 6 months.

I'd recommend Mel Casaba. I'm there next week to have my Accord's A/T fixed. I'm still not sure if I'm going to go with a Rebuild/Overhaul or with a Surplus.

Mainly because I can't source any original Honda rebuild kits and all I found were replacement kits made in the US.
I don't like to gamble on a surplus unit, unless it came directly from a whole Accord that i test drove first, then had the A/T pulled and transplanted into my Accord.

Try Jazz - Better Go with surplus. Malamang ang diagnosis ng Honda - "Bagsak Sir sa Line Pressure Test" tapos sasabihin... "Kailangan remanufacture"... Got that same comment.

    Thanks!

Try AT Bulaong , kaliraya st sa banawe. Yung pregio van ko delayed ang shifting at mahina hatak. They overhauled my transmission and its working fine now. Mura sila sumingil at madaling kausap. Look for Alex or leonard bulaong. Highly recommended sila sa tsikot. Tel nos 7496586 or cp 09321477142

Thanks for all the replies, will contact your recommendations. Read through the other A/T specialist thread also, same specialists were named. so i guess their works are really of high quality.

*Mr.Z, same comment from Honda, ganyan din ang sinabi nila.

Salamat uli and will update the thread on the results.
