Sir, patanong na rin lng po.. bopols po kc ako pagdating sa kotse.. how to know if ung model ng Jazz is using the dreaded CVT or it's using the old but reliable AT trans? do u identify it what model year ang jazz?

lahat ng 1st gen jazz (GD) automatic ay CVT. lahat ng 2nd gen (GE) automatic ay traditional AT na.

For average user/commuter, mas favorable ang CVT since mas tipid sa gas and newer tech. Sa traditional AT naman mas matibay though mas malakas ang FC.

Kung tutuosin, maganda ang CVT. Nagkaproblem lang talaga with the GD body and nasira ang rep.

hopefully in the next few years ibalik na nila ung CVT sa mga future models since mukhang naayos at natuto na sila sa past mistakes nila.
hehehe tingin ko nagpapalipas lang sila para medyo makalimutan ng mga buyers ung naging problema sa CVT

pag CVT ba, paddle-shifters pa ren? ano bang meron sa CVT? ineexpect ko pag CVT yung manual control ng gears would be parang through a button, yung up and down, tama ba?

di ko ren actually alam kung ano difference pag sinabing CVT, alam ko lang yun ang difference (paddle-shifters compared to thumb-shifters) hehe

Matagal na po ako ngbabasa dito s honda jazz 2nd gen.kahapon q lang po nailabas ang honda jazz 1.5l taffeta white po.tanung ko lang po kung my usb inputs po b ang stock music player.wala p po kasi ako sa pinas and hindi alam ni misis ang mga ganitong bagay.hehehe.thanks

meron USB port katabi nung 12VDC socket, nandun sya sa baba nung headunit. may kasama din dapat na extension yan.

sir instruct mo na rin misis na basahin ung owners manual baka nandun ung info ng USB.

hehehe ung issue ng hard o soft break-in eh up for debate yan. pero ang official statement ng casa ay technically na break-in na raw ung mga unit bago ilabas ng factory. ung first PMS 1K Km or 1mos whichever comes first at dapat libre yan.

fyi, walang change oil a 1k PMS, at least for the new Hondas. very low maintenance tayo, 10k / 6mos pa next change oil general checkup lang ginagawa sa 1k PMS, brakes, joints, etc. chance nyo rin yun i-raise kung may issues kayo maencounter sa oto (squeeking, rattling, etc.)

w/in 2 months afaik yung 1k PMS. sakin, i reached it in around 3 weeks haha. pero yung 10k kms / 6mos PMS, based on RELEASE DATE, not the 1k PMS.

mark021402, congrats sa purchase! balik mo sa casa after 1st month or 1k km, whichever comes first, check-up lang yun and no need for change oil unless gusto mo pero di libre yun afaik

regarding break-in, iwas muna redline pero ok lang high speeds.. ideal din kung long travels ang gagawin for break-in

alter ego, 3rd gen? or are you referring to the face-lifted 2nd gen na Jazz? its basically the same, meron nawala na features from the 1st release ng 2nd gen like the power retract side mirrors pero you do get a USB connector which i really want

*pcuerpo & *ohhhace thanks po.ganun na pla ngaun hindi n kelangn magpalit ng oil after 1k kms. Punta din ako s dealer ko once n dumating ako jan sa july 12. 3 weeks lang ako jan sa pinas sana mapa1k q para ako n magdala for servicing.
main purpose paguwi ko talaga eh aanak si misis.actualy wala pa ko balak bumili biniro ko lng si misis last june 30 na bibili ng jazz eh pumayag kaya un july 1 punta cia dealer and within 1week narelease namin.hehehe.thanks guys.

alter ego, should be the same as the 1st release ng 2nd gen since same engine, bumpers lang naman pinalitan... they should be able to do around 12km/l and up since i could do 10-11km/l with my 1.5 na AT

1k pms, nagpachange oil agad ako using semi-synthetic. yung break-in ko yung motoman guide. using petron unleaded na walang e10.
