For city driving ok yan but since nag Baguio ka mababa sobra yan... Yeah even beated by the Altis, pero siguro its too early to tell since bago pa lang ang kotse...

Well I don't have a Jazz pero I am sure with any vehicle ganun talaga sa umpisa... All my new vehicles that I have bought before mapa Civic, Santa Fe, Yaris or Fiesta (all new models na hindi na rin supposedly kailangan ng break-in) lahat naman sila mas mababa ang mileage sa umpisa. Try after mga 3000km...
sir any idea sa Tein Htech sa 205/45/17 tire, may rubbing po ba to? and ayaw ko din po kasi nang masyadong mababa.
First of all, congrats on your new car. Properly maintain it, it will last a long long time.
Just like what others are saying, after the break-in period, the fuel consumption will get better.
Before you jump into conclusion, you have to ask yourself, pareho ba kayong full tank noong umalis kayo sa manila? I mean, after the gas nozzle stopped dispensing gas, di ba dinagdagan to the max yung gasolina ng Altis? Also, pareho ba ng dami ng pasahero in both cars? How about the baggages, pareho din ba? The last questions are all weight related. The heavier the car is, the more gas you'll consume.
Is the Altis a stick shift or not? For highway runs, I find it hard to go over the projected fuel consumption rating using an automatic. Unlike stick, my fuel consumption is way much better than the projected consumption rating.
Lastly, your driving habits can also kill your gas consumption. Running at 100-110 kph is OK, but how do you use your breaks? During highway driving, you can ease on the throttle to slow down a little bit without using your breaks, unless kailangan mo talagang mag-preno. When slowing down, you can down shift using your paddle shifter to get more power. Don't just press the pedal to the metal to let the car decide to maintain the gear or downshift for you.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
Hi sir, thanks for the explanationsure hope my FC improves after a few months
Just to answer your queries:
- the altis is a 1.6 automatic, and the gas tank was filled to the max pala. they were 3 in the car, with a LOT of baggage in the trunk. in the jazz we were just two, with a few baggage.
- i release the throttle to slow down when I'm in the highway![]()
guys, 1 more thing ask lang po ako kung timing chain or belt ba ang mga current jazz models now because all the threads in tsikot are compiled na and its very tiring searching for that thread hehe so anyone who can answer my simple question thanks alot po![]()
P.S i know its a silly question but it keeps bothering my mind thanks again guys![]()
