Is your car fuel injected, what brand/ model? Suggest you bring your car to a shop equipped with proper scan tool, to eliminate the usual trial and error method practiced by backyard mechanics.

Causes Dirty Mass air flow Sensor, Idle Air Control Valve. Need to be clean . If its already clean you will notice that the rpm will go high and have the mechanic to check your engine timing to engine specification by using a Timing gun not by trial and error and adjust the right engine idling.

speed's opinion is correct. i have experienced it also the past few weeks. sama ng idling, sama ng acceleration. when i had it cleaned yesterday, ganda na ng takbo.
hindi nakikita ng silip silip lang kung madumi ang TB on hindi. dapat kasi nililinis ang lahat, including the sensors where much of the dirt are stored.

if you already checked what speed mentioned earlier and you still have the problem in your car, it could be your high tension wires, spark plugs, and other wiring. Happened to me before, they even cleaned my gas line, filters and gas pump, (went to Honda Manila) and still palyado.. to make my story short, kinain lang pala ng daga yung wiring ng oto ko. Yun lang pala problema! So ayun, okay na ulit ung auto ko.
For this kind of problem you might want to consider bringing your car to a Honda dealer service. They charge a bit high pero atleast sure ka sa trabaho, just make sure you go to a branch na okay ung service meron kasing ibang branch engot yung crew, like yung isang nagpost dito about his Honda City na dinala niya yung auto niya sa Laguna branch since dun niya binili ung auto
