Radiator Coolant!

Good Day to all Honda Lovers!

Just want to ask kung anong radiator coolant ang gamit para sa 2008 Honda Civic 1.8S manual transmission. Thanks po!

any coolant will do as long as you follow the recommended mixture.

Good Day, again mga HONDA lovers!

Just check the "owner's manual" and it says there to use only "Honda Anti-freeze coolant Type 2". Then went to casa - Honda Cars Batangas City and asked for this type of coolant. Unfortunately, they dont have the type 2 coolant. Ang meron sila ay yung type 1. (P278 per liter) So, no choice but to buy and use type 1.

Hindi raw adviseable to use those other coolants that can be bought sa mga auto supplies.

BTW, the color of type 2 is bluish while type 1 is green, according to them.

That's the reason why I went as far as to have someone buy me a couple of jugs of Type 2 coolant from the US.

I remember buying a container of bluish coolant nang may Honda City pa ako

Type 1 - good for 2-3 yrs
Type 2 - good for 4-5 yrs
Casa have the type 1 usually.
Ako din nagpa-order sa TFD dati ng Type 2 collant.

Yup Type 2 lang sa FD mabilis mag bawas ang FD dunno why. Sa EK ko madalang mag dagdag ako.

Rule of thumb

Honda's are very sensitive to what fluids you use. Problems may not manifest imediately but best to have peace of mind.
