    Hello,

Nagpapalit daw kasi sila ng power steering fluid sa casa and they were advised to use OEM stuff.

    Thanks!

kung banasahin mo sa manual ang sabi doon use only genuine honda fluid. pero ako ginamitan ko ng PSF na generic hanggang mabenta ang civic 96 more than 17 yrs na nagamit di naman nagkaproblema sa PS

    Add also ATF.

ATF: Honda ATF-Z1 or ATF-DW1 for 2011 and older vehicles. Honda ATF-DW1 only for 2012 and newer.
    CVT: Honda CVT-F only
    PSF: Honda PSF only

as per experience parang hindi naman...I used and still using petron's ATF for power steering fluid for 2 years..no problem experienced. Im using prestone for brakes and clutch fluid, no problem experienced. Im using Idemitsu Fully Synth 5w30 (though ito daw talaga oem ng honda), no problem experienced.

May specification requirements yung Honda but you can always use other fluids that match Honda's specs. However, for peace of mind's sake, some will not take chances on other fluids.

Last na nagpapalit ako ng clutch assembly for my Jazz GD, i bought the regular caltex thuban gear oil, after draining nung transmission, the mechanic advised me na ibalik nalang yung nadrain na oem gear oil and ibalik ko nalang sa pinagbilhan ko yung nabili ko thuban, ang labnaw daw ng OEM gear oil, baka gumanit yung shifting ko pag pinalagay ko pa yung thuban. so, pinabalik ko nalang yung nadrain gear oil, marumi nadin, the next day, i visited honda spa and replaced my gear oil with an OEM one.

for my jazz GD, all fluids from my car, are OEM, except engine oil.

CVT fluid lang dapat OEM...based on my experince...I used and still using non OEM from PSF to Gear oil, ATF and coolant to all our honda. Never nagka leak yun PS...

Just think about this what's so special or difference ng PS ng honda sa ibang brand? Exactly! Wala...

Yun gen 1 CRV ko before selling it, yun ang experimental car ko for non OEM products pinalitan ko pa nga yun PSF na nabibili sa ace na never heard na brand, never naman nag ka leak...to think it was a very old car.

kahit ba aftermarket silicate-free long life coolant 5years pa rin change interval ng coolant?

Maluluma talaga eh...yeah just do the scheduled interval change ng fluids and I think you'll be ok...again what's so different from honda's water pump from other brand...wala

I have been asking the same question sa mga proponents ng OEM fluids all the way for honda, lalo na sa PSF, ATF anong special sa honda from other car brand? I still not getting any answer.

Baklasin natin PS ng honda ng Toyota. I'm sure walang difference yan and yet you can used non OEM sa Toyota...doesn't make sense.
