In a sense there's no real "exact equivalent" to the PH15 engines. Basically they're D15s made for the Philippine market.

Your PH15 is closest to the D15B7 but keep in mind that engine has no VTEC. I used to own a 1999 SX8 City 1.5EXi and it had very similar characteristics to the D15B7 (same valvetrain, redline and max power output) - but I cannot claim that it's a D15B7 because it's really not.

Ah i see, i'm just curious because my car has no owners manual so what i did is to borrow the owners manual of my cousin who has a eg hatch. However upon checking what appropriate things needed for my car (based on the engine numbers) the manuals shows jdm numbers. I got confused how come that me & my cousin has ph series engine wherein his manual is made for jdm engines?

Hope someone can clarify this to me. Tnx type 100

Hmmm okay. You were checking the manual for engine maintenance items and schedules, I assume? In that case, you can safely use the D15 engines as a basis for the PH15.

D15B7 na lang siguro for maintenance purposes.

Apart from the 300RPM-lower redline I think everything else is similar. Di ako guru, mahilig lang tumigin ng kotse :p

This is a handy list to check:

Alam ko roughly 100 HP ang advertised max power output ng PH15s natin sa crankshaft, from EGs like yours to my old 1999 SX8 City. The D15B8 and D15Z1 have much lower output so they're not as good a match as the D15B7 for our purposes. Also the D15Z1 has VTEC-E - your engine doesn't.
