    Hi guys,

Ask ko lang kun ano problema ng auto ko. Kakabili ko lang last month nito 97 civic VTI. First car ko to kaya la pa masyado alam sa sasakyan.
Kagabi kasi while driving, medyo napansin ko na parang maalog yun sasakyan, parang flat tire ang pakiramdam ko, naka ilan stop over pa ako para mag check ng tire. Tiningnan ko ngayon umaga at meron ako nakita Oil Leaks sa rear shock absorber.

Ask lang po sana ako advice. And kun magkano kaya magagastos ko paayos. Thanks

    ^tama si boss.

or if you have the budget, since i think 2nd hand yung car, mas maganda to change all shocks and pacheck mo narin yung ilalim para gumanda ang ride quality.

yup, im planning to change all shocks nalang siguro, natatakot kasi gf ko, di daw ako smooth mag drive. sanay kasi sya sa good condition company cars. since im a new driver and eto pa lang na drive ko na car eh di ko lam ang good ride quality. try ko nalang i drive newer car models ng mga relatives ko to see the difference.

I checked some threads and nabasa ko na ok daw yun kayaba? Alin kaya mas ok ng restoration ng stock shocks or KYB?

Sir Go for bnew KYB (kayaba) shocks na lang kesa restoration. Di din naman nagkakalayo yung price. Sa Motorist Banawe (sa may erod side) ako bumibili ng suspension parts kasi mura, dun din bumibili yung mga talyer ng parts. Pansin mo puro mga naka motor yung bumibili sakanila.

Go for brand new shocks kung indi naman kalayuan ng presyo sa restoration.. besides 15 yrs old na rin yang shock mo if ayan pa yung stock ha. it has served its purpose well, time for it to rest.

kano kaya abutin pag palit yun shock and lowering springs 1.5 drop? yun budget friendly lang na lowering springs. lowered kasi to and putol yun spring which i read had many disadvantages. ano pa ba dapat palitan sa suspension? Gusto ko kasi good condition talaga yun car.

Go for new KYB shocks, mga 3k each yung price nyan. Much better if you can find dealers within your area para di ka na pumunta somewhere else. Go to a suspension specialist (Cruven, Zee, etc) and have the suspension parts checked, then palitan yung mga kelangan palitan para isang gawaan na (tie rod, rack end, stabilizer link, etc.). As for lowering springs, marami nagbebenta online or get ones from tuning shops. Not sure if the OEM KYB shocks (Excel-G) will work well with lowering but you can always opt for the adjustable KYB AGX model.

Repaired shocks will fail again shortly. You would be better off with a brand new replacement pair of shocks.

KYB is a good brand that is not too expensive.
