Ano ba mga tranny kakasya sa VTi96?

nalilito kasi ako eh.. example.. kakasya ba MT tranny ng LXi/SiR sa VTi na AT??

    and..

What if 4speed automatic ako.. tas ung MT na tranny eh 5speed.. pwede ba yun?? D16/PH16 VTEC SOHC ang engine ko..

    And..

    Madadamay ba ang ECU?

    heheheh..

    AD? pwede ba to?

PWES!! may solusyon jan! SWAP tayo ng tranny! wahhahaha

I'm looking for someone who is willing makipag straight swap saken ng transmission. Automatic ko sa Manual mo!

    preferably:

Same model tayo VTi 96 ung may Ferio body pero manual trans lang.. I'll try to consider ibang model pag nasagot na mga questions ko.

In GOOD condition ang AT tranny ko! promise! pustahan pa tayo! wahahhaha

    NOTE:

May PINAGSAMAHAN kami ng oto ko

(a gift from parents, 1st car, sa car na yun natuto mag drive, that car made me a responsible person in someway, dahil sa car na un natuto ako sa worth ng pera, saved me from deadlines MANY MANY times, pag na coconcept/mind block ako drive lang ako sa car nayun ikot ikot para makapag isip "im in the arts field btw", sinagot ako ng GF ko sa car na un [not because of the car, ok?], never in my life naka hang out ko dad ko na parang barkada medyo enthusiast kasi sya so kahit na sa evangelista lang or auto shops mga usapan namin para kami magka tropa wahahha etc etc etc)

    to SUM IT ALL UP!!

wag nyo sabihin sakin na benta ko car ko then get another variant na manual or makipag swap ng car.

simply because, thats NOT in my OPTION. ok?

(subukan nyo i-reminisce yung first time na nagka kotse kayo.. just for fun)

Dude. Swapping entire cars is more cost-effective and easier. Just saying.

But beyond that, the tranny that is most compatible with your car is from the same motor. Either the D/PH16 or the D15 in the LXi or VTi of the same model year. The SiR tranny will not bolt straight up. It's a completely different engine.

Swapping is a problematic issue. You'll have to swap transmissions, computer boxes (your automatic ECU can run with a manual, but his manual ECU won't run an automatic), shifters, center consoles, pedals, etcetera. I don't know any VTi MT owners who want an automatic, especially with gas prices the way they are... at this point, if a person is driving an MT Civic, they're driving it for the fuel economy.

Your best bet is to go to a shop and get a quotation for the cost of all the parts. It'll probably be between 15k and 20k pesos in parts... but prices may be different, I'm not familiar with surplus parts for the Civic. Remember, you will still have to find the interior parts, the center console, shifter and pedal. Then you have to pay someone to do the swap... which will involve cutting a hole in your firewall for the new clutch pedal (and we still haven't considered whether your brake pedal is bigger than the manual car's... might have to swap that, too) and ripping out your console, pulling out your engine to reach the tranny, etcetera...

You can look up Ghosthunter's LPG conversion thread as a less destructive and more cost-effective way to make your car more economical.
