I am posting this thread under the Honda sub-forum because there is not yet a General (non-brand-specific) Car Talk sub.

So what is this unusual feature I'm looking for in a car or small cross-over?

    A sunroof!

Or more technically a moonroof (combination glass top plus sun-shade).

Up here in Benguet Province I don't see many cars with such, unless they're realllllly old, lol.

Can someone please give me some pointers as to where I can readily find a moonroof-equipped vehicle for purchase? It can be an older, low mileage gently driven model, 5-10 years old is ok, under 80,000km. Yes, I have owned a Honda, and that brand is definitely in the running.

Thanks in anticipation of some good tips!

    Crickets?

    I do - occasionally - see a moonroof or panoramic-equipped car up in metro-Baguio.

I just wonder where in the Philippines, at least on Luzon, is a good place to find higher concentrations of them for sale, now or used.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Some 2012-17 Foresters listed in Manila also have moonroofs.

I consider an opening in a car roof a safety feature(additional egress), in addition to brightening up the cabin. Not something only for the wealthy.

I'm not an admin... just to say that there's already a forum for if you're trying to buy a car... https://www.tsikot.com/forums/car-buying-talk-138/

And for car talks that are not brand-specific (ie. you already own the car), there's still this forum... https://www.tsikot.com/forums/garage-150/

    Thanks.

But: Is Car-buying Talk appropriate venue for asking about where to buy a car with a specific feature? It seems more like a place to ask questions about titles, trades, financing, and other intricacies of the buying process itself.

In retrospect, it's the perfect place for your question. It covers all topics from the perspective of someone seeking advice while trying to buy a car.

But no sweat. I don't think admins here are too rigid where you put your thread, as long as it's not ridiculously out of topic.

As per your suggestion, but - against my better instinct - I posted my car-wanted post in Car Buying talk:

    https://www.tsikot.com/forums/car-buying-talk-138/

It's two or three threads down below the stickies.

As predicted, after almost three weeks up, it got 460 views, but crickets .... .... in response.

That sub-cat is in fact for the following aspects of car purchasing:

    - Financing vs cash

    - Licensing

    - Insuring, and how much coverage

    - Titles and transfers of

and other bureaucracies of purchasing/leasing a car or fleet.

And not for "Wanted: Car with Sunroof", "Utility with raised suspension" type inquiries.

Administration again please take note: Consider opening a non-brand-specific forum subcategory for inquiries into vehicles with unique or specific features.

    Thank you, Salamat!

Thank you! I was recommended Pajero on the street. They are in the running for sure, along with Honda, Toyota, etc.

If you're set sa pajero, make sure to get the 2017 model or above because it's already vgt-powered. The non-vgt diesel is a bit lethargic on uphills and that contributes to higher fuel consumption.
