They're similar in the city if you're comparing MT to MT. The SiR motor may be 1.6 liters only, but it's tuned for high horsepower rather than fuel economy, not like the VTi. My cousin has an SiR, I have a 2.0 Lynx, we get the same economy in mixed and highway driving.
