Hi KaJazz,
Has anyone of you know the difference of JAZZ MT 2016 and 2017 units? Sales agents told me that there is no different between the two but I would like to confirm if this is true.
TIA.

My friend just bought a Jazz MT the other week. Looks exactly like last year's Jazz. No difference.

Pls pls put the civic turbo engine in this jazz. Plz!

It already has the same engine, all it needs is a turbo. Honda would never do that as the market for it is too small.
But for the enthusiasts who want a true pocket rocket, a turbo kit is available for the L15 and you'll instantly have yourself a quicker car than the Civic RS for much much less money.

Ive seen the supercharger version done by speedlabs. Drove it. Wasnt satisfied. And this was using the manual tranny.
The reason why i amhoping for an oem application of the turbo is to ensure that the tranny is matched to it. Was debating for years whether to supercharge or turbocharge my GK .....but what stopped me was the thought of the transmission grenading.

rumor has it 2019 pa ung refresh, 3 cylinder 1.0 turbocharged petrol. sana may manual and a/t, although i doubt it.
Everyone on the internet always raves about a manual high-powered econobox. Then when they release it, noone buys!
It's the main reason why the 2.0 FD was the last high-powered manual econobox. And even that car wasn't a commercial success which is why they discontinued it after the facelift.

The Philippine market is quite peculiar. You hear of folks wanting MT pocket rockets but their sales are so bad. I think the Civic FD 2.0L MT and Ford Focus TDCI MT did not even sell a combined 500 units. Sales are more driven by brand or practical needs. In other countries, they got a bunch of these MT pocket rockets - Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, Civic Si, Megane, etc.
Exactly. If you read AI, TGP, Carguide comments sections, laging, "Walang manual?"
Most of the time, those people can't even afford cars. And even for those who can, they only dream about having a pocket rocket, but come buying time, most of the them would rather spend for a versatile SUV than a fun but ultimately impractical subcompact/compact.

Guess i wasnt so clear. Retain the CVT or have a traditional torque converter automatic . But give us the 1.5 turbo. Like a jazz RS version.

Given the poor sales of the Fiesta Ecoboost, I doubt they'll bring in a more powerful, less efficient variant of their entry level subcompact.
The Civic RS sells because at the end of the day, at least it's a Civic and the next level (Accord and Miata/WRX) is still several hundred thousand away. But a Jazz RS or Fiesta ST at 1.1M will not sell when compared to an equivalent Civic 1.8E.
Then again, that's just me putting on my businessman hat and not my car enthusiast hat.

Jut is correct. This is a pipe dream for me.
