You can also try removing the ECU fuse sa fusebox (for at least 5 secs) in the engine bay.

Unhook your battery cables and touch them together for 1 minute! (there will be no power in them so dont worry) and then hook them back up !! if the light comes back on you still have a problem which I can probably help you with that also!! When you touch the wires together what it does is drains the memory on the computer, then when you start it it will take about 10 minutes for it to finish all of its tests and have everything set just right!!

This source is came from a retired master mechanic which we apply this in my friends Toyota celica.

Generally, it won't harm your car. It is usually done after doing performance upgrades like better intake etc.

exactomundo! hindi kailangan 30 minutes.. pero bakit po kailangan reset? logically wala pong babaguhin sa performance pag nareset ka ng ECU.. Sobrang talino po ng ECU ng honda. Very little changes or upgrade eh narerecognize na ng ECU. So why reset?

any change done to the engine, its advisable to reset the ecu. simple lang naman to do. tama! just remove the battery terminals for a minute or two. ok na.

remove neg terminal, crank the engine twice, presto ecu reset, no need to wait for minutes/seconds.

Resetting ECU is a must after making changes in your present set up or when doing engine performance tuning, like remapping ECU using crome, uberdata, hondata, et al, adjusting vtec engagement point, fuel management, target idle, speed/rev limiter, air fuel mixture ratio, et al.

Why? so that when you start the engine the ECU is already running the remapped program. When ECU was reset the new tuned program is readily visible at your laptop unlike when it is not reset you have to wait for minutes/hours before the new remapped program takes effect in accordance with your tuning program.

of course thailand is far more different fom us we do things here more easier, i think the reason why he's asking for that is because he wants it to be done by him per se, yung tinatawag dito na DIY ba.
