    haba sorry hehe

    TIA

Try to go to Mang Mario at his residence in Bago Bantay Quezon City. There's a thread here already about him, his expertise in car aircon and his exact address.

My 2004 Honda City Idsi had a similar problem last year. Nawawala ang lamig after running the car after some time. I went to his residence and told him my problem and right away he knew what the problem is. He asked one of his boys to look at my aircon. In less than 30 minutes, the problem was solved. The guy just reduced one thin small piec of washer of the compressor clutch which, according to Mang Mario, disengages easily as the unit becomes old, hence, the compressor won't work. And he just charged me P100 for that. My aircon functions perfectly well until now.

    Been there experienced that.

Have your A/C system cleaned and have the compressor clutch looked at. The magnetic clutch isn't engaging - that's why you have loss of cooling and the high idling problem.

An A/C technician can remove some of the spacers so that the clutch engages better. I've practically removed all the spacers on my compressor, so if this problem happens again I'll probably be looking at a brand-new compressor.

may nabasa ako dito sa honda cars talk regarding high idling and low cool aircon. MAF sensor and servo naman daw. same lang din kaya ng problem yun?

may alam ba kayo within makati na magaling mag check ng aircon?

    thanks sa mga reply guys

Trust me it's the same thing. Your City and my Jazz are mechanical twins. Try to have the compressor spacers removed and see what happens - it's a very cheap fix. Dukot lang yan.

Compressor lifespan depends on the technology used. There are at least two types - one is more robust but has more parasitic loss from the engine; the other is more economical but when it goes kaput you need to replace it. I'm not sure which one is ours.
