Dito naman tayo magtanung gayahin natin sila

My civic99 VTEC stock M/T, siguro na bago ko lang mags from stock to 15" tire 185/55/15 (ngayun kasi 195/55/15 na) 140kph sa third shift, no aircon, natakot na ko kasi baka di kayanin ng preno hindi naman sya SIR na naka disc brake, along west fairview.

Takenote po: nagtry po ako nito 4:30am -5am as in walang sasakyan gaano and tao para naman wala po akong mabastos, nag test lang po ng speed ng car kasi hindi po ako madalas maka pag out of town or dumadaan sa NLEX,and SLEX. Wala din po ako balak kumarera sa race track gusto ko lang manuod and I salute to all the drivers na magagaling magdrive sa race tarck

did you hear/feel the vtec engage (vtec, yo!)?

peanuts ang 140kph sa vtec na civic. 140kph wont even get you to 5000rpm, so normal lang yan on a good cond engine. based on other anecdotes i've heard all over the forums over the years, the plain jane 1.6 sohc ph16 vtec will hit 180. personally i've only done (as far as i can recall, anyway) 160 on my vti, 140 on my lxi, and 160 again on my vti-s. i've also done 160 on my 1st gen.

160 seems to be my practical limit. i dont particularly like engine "mods", so my cars are all stock - yet, sa tancha ko, may ibibigay pa yung mga kotse, especially the 1st gen V, with its long stroke engine with no vtec... parang kaya ng 200 e basta may bwelo. takot na lang me over 160 eh hehehehe

unlike most of the econoboxes na lumabas since the late 90s, our hondas were made with driving pleasure in mind. yun ang bentahe ng honda eh, sa hatawan hindi ka mapapahiya kung ang kalaban mo ay mga corolla at lancer.

i really can't encourage you na hatawin ng hatawin yung mga honda nyo. i think its best na we drive at the speed limit na lang (KJ, hahahaha!). maganda na yung alam natin lahat na anjan yung power kung kelangan natin, kesa pirming sinusubukan kung aabot ng 160 or 180. the tacho of the EK civic goes to 8000RPM yata, redlines at 6800, at 140 wala pa sa 5000, so, go figure, andami pa maibibigay nung kotse.

Dunno about your econobox... but my Nissan econobox 1.6L during the early 90s was already doing 180 kph on 4th gear on the expressway without mods.

d15b (not sure if it has a 180-kph limiter pa)

SLEX weekend nights and sunday afternoons (when it has least traffic volume): 180kph* * 6.5K+ rpm on 5th gear, 165kph* * 7K+ rpm on 4th

*(+/-) the margin of error nung gauge
