Honda SIR - why ang daming haters?

There is a bit of truth na SiR is the best. stock vs stock na other honda on track I'll put my money on the SiR. Totoo naman yan na Golden days ng honda ang SiR. After that it got boring na. Yun mga naghonda kaya nag honda dahil sa SiR halo effect.

But it also says a lot din na kung SiR ang the best. which means honda is past their best na.

Ako mismo I never like hondas in general, hirap umakyat sa mga rampa you really need to high rev the engine.

I cant understand why people insist that the SIR is a classic. Its not highly collectible since owners would usually modify their units that only suits them and remeber it is mass marketed. Only a handful of high volume cars were ever considered classics and these are the original beetle and the early mustangs

not exactly classic but something desireable. something people aspire to own even after more than 10 years it was first sold

kasi to the average pinoy owning an SiR is the closest thing they'll ever get to owning a sports car

Actually, ang dream car ko during that time is Toyota Exsior. First time i saw a wood trim in dashboard, very classy pa yung dating during that time.

Past few days andami namin nakakasabay na sir so far wala namang maangas. May epekto yata tong thread na to hehehe

Kanina nung nag-Morato ako mga 4 na SiR nakasabay ko.

Yung tatlo, naka-tint. Tapos ang ganda ng set-up nila. Probably for show and go .. hindi naman kasi drag set-up. Spoon brakes, CE28 wheels etc. etc.

Yung isa naman na SiR nakita ko. No tint, ok lang set-up. Typical. Pero yung driver, hayop!! Mukhang hayop!! :hysterical:

Taba, itim batok, naka-polarized na shades tapos may shirt na naka-hang sa likod XXXL ata. :rofl01:

^ so far, meron akong mga kakilala na mga naka-Honda Vti and ESi, di naman sila mayayabang, pagkinausap mo tapos sinabihan mo "bro, ok yan honda mo, makinis pa rin" isasagot pa sayo "ah luma na rin naman yan alaga lang". and even my college professor owns a Honda Civic FD pero sabi niya sa min kung nag-focus na lang daw siguro siya sa kanyang mga negosyo at hindi na nagturo, baka naka-Mercedes Benz na daw siguro siya.

I've been reading this thread the whoooole day dang I didn't know this thread would get this long lol.

Just to contribute, I would like to think owning a car that is waaaay past it's prime is something we shouldn't frown upon.i still dream of owning a Pajero Field Master and 2005 Montero Sport up to this very day. I don't know why but everytime I see one, I still dream of buying a second hand one.

I also don't think it's fair to stereotype all SiR owners to a certain look.. But honestly that made me laugh ( dark bald guy wearing Oakley shades with loud music blasting).

kaya we opted to buy a brand new car, hindi nga lang pajero hehe..

Iba kasi ang Fieldmaster. Not that I own one FM, pero iba talaga. Porma at tindig palang, talagang machong macho tignan. Isama mo pa dyan yun tibay ng sasakyan. Sobra din kasi reliable ang FM. Comparing naman sa Pajero bulldog kasi, mahal ang bulldog Pajero. Di pa nga ganun kaganda ang porma niya compared sa FM. Tsaka for me lang, hindi proportion ang gulong ng bulldog sa body. Like sa sample pic mo, ang liit ng gulong tapos ang laki ng katawan, and IIRC, 16" lang ang gulong ng bulldog. Tsaka for me lang, flawless ang design ng FM.

Pero kung ako tatanungin, between FM and kung isasama mo ang Gen 2 Pajero, doon ako sa Gen 2. Mas matikas ang tindig niya para sa akin at mas proportion compared sa FM
