If only this kind of setup is suitable for our roads here in the Philippines. Kahit VTi lang okay na sa akin.

^ Kaya naman eh. Marami nang "hellaflushed" dito.

Pero syempre, I doubt if it's daily driven.

Gayahin mo yung Civic ni Omar.

    Impractical parin, though.

    Hellaflush... no thanks.

From an aesthetic point of view, Hellaflush is awkward... it puts the wheel off-centered from the wheel-well arch. When I lowered the Lynx, I went to great lengths to restore the height to something pleasingly balanced.

From a functional point of view, Hellaflush destroys tires and suspensions, puts the CV-Joints and control arms at an awkward angle and can lead to nasty bottoming out and spins if you're driving fast over anything other than billiard-table smooth roads.

Given that the only billiard table smooth roads you find here in the Philippines are inside parking buildings... that means you can't go fast... anywhere... safely.

I do lilke a nice five-lug and Domani front end conversion, though.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    TM is a kiddo

Pinoprotektahan niya masyado yung SiR, hinde naman pala siya naka-SiR.

That dude doesn't even know the components of his EG.

    Dude, WALANG iDSi BEFORE.

Sobrang fanboy ng Honda, akala ko naman super powerful ng makina.

    STOCK PA PALA.

Isa yan si TM sa mga mayayabang sa kalye na wala naman ibubuga.

Seriously, in what instance will you use your extra large RPM gauge? With a shift light?

Akala ko naman pinoprotektahan niya mga naka-SiR because he owns one

    Looks like hindi pala

He's still POOR and CANT AFFORD

Kaya puro lang sya bashing sa mga galit sa DREAM CAR NYA

    Hinde nya kasi afford eh.

He wants to feel how it feels to own one

Too bad dude, you wont have the chance

During the time lumabas Sir, 2 years pa lang ako sa trabaho at may pamilya na. I bought a GLX Revo ( 600k Revo vs 700k Sir during that time ). I really want to buy the Sir pero needs ( bahain dito sa Pangasinan ) and budget does not permit me to do so. Time had passed and I've experienced buying 2nd hand vehicles. ( I even bought a ricey GSR with sampayan ) but was not able to buy Sir because of its prohibitive resale value.
I still want to buy it now for some burst of speed during weekend but reading this thread made me think twice. I have 2 vehicles for specific needs ( Grand Livina and a Ford trekker ) but I miss the feeling of driving a sedan.

What specific 2nd hand vehicle should I buy for a budget of 400k?

Better if you move your topic to a non-flame thread pards. (maybe the mods can split this).

But with 400K and given that you already have cars for your family and daily needs, i'd suggest you go build yourself a project car (i.e. a Nissan Sentra with an SR20DE or DET, a Lancer with a 4G63, EK/EG Civic with a B16, Corolla with a 4AGE engine, etc.) The basic car should cost you less than 200K then you spend the rest to build up the engine and suspension. Another option is you buy yourself a nice 2.0L car like a Galant VR m/t, Cefiro, Corona, etc. Those are real nice highway cruisers.

And believe me, a properly done Sentra with a 2.0 SR20DE or DET will make you smile much more than a Civic SiR once you floor the pedal. Add in the proper suspension and brakes and you've got a real good and balanced car. Remember it's not all about pure straight-line power that makes driving a joy.

Wag kang ganyan sa upgrades pa lang para ka ng bumili ng bagong kotse. Kung marunong ka talaga sa kotse at nakakaintindi ka di ka na magtatanong at magkocomment ng ganyan.....

I have a simple setup in mind.

Base car would be an MT Corona. Not that hard to find, not that hard to modify either.

    Engine would be either a turbocharged 3SFE or a 3SGTE (turbocharged 3SGE)

When everything is already in place, na-tono na etc. bibili ako ng honda emblem then sisirain ko ta's i`ll hang it sa rear tow hook.

In the rear winshield, there would be a sticker that says

    "VTEC? WTF is that sh*t"

Tapos dadaan ako sa EB ng Happy Cars Phil.

    Hehehehehe.

    ok im just bored
