December 20th, 2009 07:13 PM #2shell helix plus (blue) gamit ko...so far so good naman.basta sa service mismo ng shell ka kumuha ng lanigs wag sa labas kasi may namemeke na rin yata ng shell oils. i stay away from castrol kasi may halong tubig daw.
kung everyday driving lang naman no need for fully synthetic. just be practical

December 20th, 2009 07:31 PM #3Sir, i'd rather use top1, synthetic na po sya.. di pa ganun kamahal saka ok po naman sya. synthetic na po sya, practical pa po. civicSiR din po oto ko. dati po gamit ko e magnatec, but my mechanics who's taking care of my engine said that magnatec sometimes give engine a bad performance..

December 20th, 2009 07:32 PM #4Thanks nagtanong tanong na din ako sa nearby gas stations, shell and petron almost the same price ng semi- synth its around 1,700 inc filter and flushing, planning to change oil next week just asking opinions because wala pa me alam talaga. My dad also recommend shell kya lang ever since daw kaya lang lagi naman 1.3 engine nya, akin 1.6 na SIR kaya nag sesecond thought ako sa judgement nya

December 20th, 2009 07:38 PM #5no need na flushing, dagdag gastos din yun and isa pa may mga strong additive din daw sa flushong oil na nakaka harm sa engine. mas mganda if kaya mo DIY yung change oil, jack up the car, drain mo oil magdamag para talagang ubos, change the oil filter, put new oil in. voila!
yung tune up ibang usapan na yun, hehehehe

for me, any brand as long as tama ang viscosity na ilalagay mo as what your manual recommended. me, i'm using Petron Ultron Rallye (10W-40), every 7K or 7 mos. w/c ever comes first.. P1499.00 all in, no need for flushing.. dito sa suki kong Petron C5..
