MANILA - Honda Cars Philippines Inc. is voluntarily recalling more than 2,500 units for a software update, the Department of Trade and Industry said on Friday.
The automotive company is voluntary recalling 2,531 units of 2014-2015 models of Jazz and City to update the software of the vehicles' electronic control unit (ECU).
The update will prevent the high stress and breakage on the vehicles' drive pulley shift to avoid wheel lock. The service is free of charge and will take about 30 minutes.
Owners of these models are advised to notify or contact any of the 33 Honda authorized dealers.
Honda is fifth in the country in terms of market share, according to recent data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association.

Hmmm...i asked a friend from HCPi, so far wala pa naman daw silang nilalabas na notice on this. Gayumpaman, affected unit owners will receive letters for updates...

Talked with Honda Alabang personnel just now... Just call Honda with details of your car, plate number, engine/body number and you can schedule your software upgrade with them...

I received a 2 letters from them regarding my airbag.
First letter kasama yung car ko tapos may second letter hindi daw nakasama dun sa Batch unit on that year. Kaso nandun na ako sa Casa at nagpaschedule na tapos may 2nd letter daw na pinadala sa house ko.
Wala naman akong 2nd letter na natanggap.

Send an email to: customer_relations*hondaphil.com
include your chassis and engine number.
mabilis naman sila sumagot.
Thankfully my unit does not belong.
Still I asked for an official issuance from HCPI stating yung batches na kasali for the recall.
