November 2nd, 2013 11:40 PM #2if you are asking if honda 08 engine blocks can crack, the answer is yes. all engine blocks can crack. they are not immortal. it's just a matter of how badly the owner wants to crack it..
how can you detect it before buying it? it's just like asking how one can detect ondoyed cars. it's difficult, especially if the seller takes measures to hide it..
how often does it happen? i have no idea..
btw, yours is the first query i have heard on this topic in a long time.. what beehoved you to ask, pray tell...Last edited by dr. d; November 2nd, 2013 at 11:46 PM.

I know there were some isolated issues on USDM R18's. But on local R18's, it's kinda rare, if any at all.

All V variants of the Honda Civic FD (model year 2006 to 2009) do not have airbags or ABS. The V kasi is the entry level variant, so if you want to have these options, you should pay more and get the 1.8 S model. I just don't know if said amenities are available in the new Civic.
Btw, I own a 2006 1.8V.Last edited by Galactus; November 11th, 2013 at 03:57 PM.
