went to our mechanic yesterday to have my car checked and to know what is the problem. after checking, it boiled down to a broken carb. binuksan nya ung carb to check, kasi every time start ung kotse namamatay rin agad. after opening, nakita nya ung small part sa carb na putol. he checked thoroughly, and advised us that we need to replace it kasi hndi na marepair. Surplus would cost us around 4k while bnew would be more. He said, repairing the car would cost us more. And eventually told us that if we plan to sell it, might as well not fixed it but instead sell it. Disposal value was totally low which dissappointed me totally.

may I know how much did they appraise you'r car ?

sobrang baba.. around 30-50k.. feeling ko, they priced it that low because they want to buy it and dressed it up. kasi before the car was used in car shows.

There is no '92 Civic ESI w/ carburator. It is probably a 1.5 li Civic DX, which is equivalent to the '93-'95 Civic 1.5 LX. Except the DX had steel rims/hubcaps, while the LX had alloys.

meron akong kilalang mekaniko sa QC sa kamias, dick ang pangalan, kung gusto mo doon. ang shop niya malapit sa tapat ng shell kasing-kasing merong auto supply sa harap, sa side ang auto supply na ito merong driveway with gate, ito ang lugar niya sa loob, yan ang trusted mekaniko ko since nasa joy trading pa siya.

wag mo benta mam, sayang eh, ayusin mo na lang...may isa pa yatang comment d2 sa forums regarding my mechanic, samae, esi din ang may problem, mel casaba did a lot of work on that car, siningil sya 350 pesos, sobrang tuwa nya nagbigay sya 500 pesos na tip, hehehehe, chk mo to site na to, makita mo iyung certificates nys sa honda, certified talaga..sana maayos car mo mam.

mam i suggest you to go to evangelista maraming surplus na carb dun
same car tayo civic lx ph15 carb engine nakabili ako ng carb dun for just 3k and bumili din ko repair kit to overhaul the carb so far ok pa naman ride ko.tnx..

yeah walang civic ESi na carb. ang 92 civic either LX 1.5L or DX 1.2L

kung carb ang problem mo ang daming carb na pinapa kilo nalang sa HCP. Dami kasi nag e-engine swap doon. Try mo magtanong ng carb dun ako dati nag benta ng carb 500 pesos lang kasama pa intake manifold.

I have the same problem with REDGZ, mine is a civic 94 LX. Meron pa ba nabibili BNEW na carb for 94LX ? kung bibili ako ng surplus and a repair kit saan po ba makakabili na maayos pa ang carb?

Also. pwede po ba inconvert ang civic 94 LX carburetor to fuel injected?

yup, pwede...but it will cost you a surplus engine with tranny and ecu, and you mightneed to find some engine mounts and electronic wirings
