September 20th, 2009 08:15 AM #11thanks for your reply sir, no problem with driving style, hindi ko pa hinahataw because I am trying to figure out the maximum fuel efficiency I can achieve with this. Alalay ako nagpapatakbo, pero same pa din, mababa ang mileage per km.
Mods, none yet. Ala pang budget and also I don't know where to start, pero since namention mo yung exhaust headers, large diameter tailpipes and muffler, medyo mahal ba? Malaki ba ang magiging improvent sa FC kahit matic ang tranny, hindi po na pagllakas ang engine mag iincrease din ang FC? And any reputable shops na makukuhanan and mag iinstall na won't cost me an arm and leg? I haven't tried or planning on installing these, pero if these can improve my FC then I suppose I'll go for it.
leaks maybe no, refill tube hindi pa, gas cap ok naman and air filter element is newly replaced with stock.
oh and 1500 ang D15B.
thanks and have a nice weekend

7hm/l on a bone stock 1500 cc engine? i doubt. maliban na lang kung galit sa gas pedal ang driver at hilig umistambay sa auto na bukas aircon pero nakapark lang,.
we have an a/t 1.5G vios, consumes almost 15km/l on highways(which is its everyday routine: balintawak to meycauajan nlex) and a high of 12km/l on city driving. 1 and a half week ang tinatagal ng full tank of average of 35L on an average of more or less 400km traveled. btw, loaded pa palage, mga abubut ni ermat lageng nakakalat sa auto niya(5 gallon mineral H2o), but it wont exceed a 100lbs. "sometimes"
di porket matic, malakas na sa gas,

ts said its a non vtec so i assume its an older car
older a/t cars really consumes more fuel than a newer a/t car
jdm engines also requires higher octane fuels

September 21st, 2009 09:27 PM #18my jdm '97 civic averages 9-10km/liter. 13-14kms/li on highway. maybe sa traffic condition sa place nyo. try to travel it out of town. kung mag average ka ng more than 10km/liter then there's nothing wrong with your d15b motor.

planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
