Good afternoon po mga sir. Just want to ask sino po sa inyo ang naka gen 3 crv na M/T? After long drives and kapag nababad kasi sa traffic, hirap pumasok sa 1st gear. Sometimes pati 2nd gear ayaw din. Minsan parang naka harang ang gear minsan magaspang. I usually experience this kapag bumper to bumper ang traffic or kapag madaming stop go situation like madaming stop lights.

I already told the issue to casa but still the same. First, it was inspected by honda dagupan satellite which is located around timog ave. Ang sabi sa spring ng clutch but still it didn't solve the issue. Then after several months of observation andyan pa din. I decided to bring it to honda pampanga. So change gear oil(around 50k ang odo), still it hirap pa din but nabawasan. But hindi nagtagal ganun nanaman, e sakto due na for 60k pms. E ang change gear oil daw kapag 50 or 60k it depends on casa daw. Even though kakapalit lang ng gear oil, i decided to let the gear oil be changed para maalis ang "transmission fluid" which they found out before para maging mas malinis. But still it happens. Now i'm on 66,000 ang odo, pati ang clutch may squeaking sound when you step on it. RPM idle is not that good as brand new. It goes down to 600 tapos hahabulin lang ng system by idling it up a bit. But it annoys me na baka may problema kasi you would feel it vibrate when it reaches 600 for some time...

    Slight info:
Fc displayed on odo - 12-13km/l city snd highway combined. This is based on one full tank. 180kms of which goes for nlex pag umuuwi ng weekends tapos the rest is manila driving na.
    Pms is regularly followed
    Not a clutch driver
    Casa maintained
    Daily driven car
    Petron xcs fuel
Clutch disk makapal pa daw sabi ng honda nung last pms ko

Hope someone could address or enlighten me with my issue. Salamat po mga sir!

Since the Gen 3 M/T has the R20 engine (similar to the Civic's R18 1.8L - a car which I have experience with), I would suppose that a similar transmission is being used and this may be of help:

WRT to the squeaky clutch, the casa may end up replacing the Clutch master cylinder under warranty. This may sometime help with the rough shifting issue.

Doon naman sa idling, does this happen especially when the A/C compressor kicks in? Ask the CASA to perform the idle learn procedure. There are tutorials also online (not sure if the same will apply as I only have experience w/ the Civic) on how to do this.

Hope the car is under warranty para libre mga procedure na yan.

    Thanks for the reply!

Ano po yung wrt sir? Haha. Sad to say out of warranty na po sir eh. It's 07 or 08 model. Could it be the clutch master cylinder still? Long drives or kapag gabi at malamig ang panahon at pag d matraffic. Wala naman hard time ipasok sa primera. As in blocked! Kailangan mo pang ipasok muna ng 2nd or 3rd gear then shift back to 1st gear without moving sympre for just it to go to 1st gear.

Tumpak! Tama po sir. When compressor works ganun nga po. Will try to google it. thanks sir!

WRT = With regards to. Sorry hehe.

Try to pump the clutch pedal the next time ayaw niya pumasok. See if this helps. Posibleng clutch master cylinder din e.

Kaya ngayon I'm gravitating towards ATs nalang. Even if it's fun to drive an MT, there are always (many) small niggles compared to equivalent ATs. Maintenance lang kelangan doon sa AT (which you need on an MT anyway).

Based on my experience yan. Hirap magdrive nyan bro.

Ahhh...

ATs Crv owners claim 7-8km/L with M/T kaya ng 11-13km/L.
