Hi, nung nagparefill ako kanina ng water sa wipers ko, accidentally nalagyan is yung coolant reservoir. so bale naghalo ang tap water at honda coolant. may problem ba to? Kelangan ko ba ipa-drain asap and parefill ng bagong coolant?

    TIA

Wala pong problema yun.

HTH

ok lang yan sir pero kung gusto mo peace of mind drain your rad fluids then palit ng bago use destilled h20 at coolant better kung 50/50 ang ratio dont forget to bleed the air out

kung konti lang naman ok lang siguro yan. pero kung madami, magtaka ka na kung bakit kulang sa tubig yung radiator mo. baka may mga leak.

the coolant available in honda casa is ready-mix so use it as is without water.

but if you'll use coolant concentrate, mix with distilled water. i use absolute drinking water with prestone concentrate on my non-honda car.

was at honda global city earlier this month. checked the radiator before leaving the place, kulang ang inilagay na coolant, i could see the fins in the radiator so i asked for a top-up. one service advisor was about to put in tap water, but i stopped him. i waited for the other service advisor who topped-up with coolant. we idled the engine for a few minutes with the radiator cap removed to wait for bubbles and let air out.

that should be ok. adding water to your reservoir will not kill your cooling system. it is when you use tap water all the time for your cooling system instead of coolant.

how is is your car? when was the last time you had your coolant flushed? you have to flush it at least 2-3 years so the residue buildups can be supressed. if you haven't had a coolant flush, it may be a good time to do it.

    mga sir newbie question.
iv been driving for almost 2 years now with my honda jazz 05. never new na may coolant.. sori tlga.. i really thought adding water sa radiator is enough.. i make it to a point na lagi may tubig. lately lang nalaman ko yung reservoir kasi nung nagpalagay ako tubig sa gasoline boy eh besides sa radiator nilagya nya rin ng tubig un. in summary, i thing puro tubig laman ng radiator at resevoir ko.. not sure may coolant pa sa loob. should i do something about this?
    thanks po!
