mine is '97 VTi A/T. twice na nagpalit ako ng trailing arm bushing... i suggest to go for OEM. first kasi, replacement japan lang kinabit ko... nagtipid sa 200.00/each difference in the end di rin nagtagal. 1 year lang inabot. better pagpang-ilalim go for OEMs.
re sa tranny, check mo lang if wla gaanong shift-shock... better din if may record ang previous owner when sya nagpalit ng ATF.. oh btw, pagdating sa ATF.. go for honda ATF mismo para sure... pati sa power steering fluid, OEM din gamitin mo. sa engine naman, kahit ano basta tama viscosity. mine, i'm using Petron Ultron Rallye, 10-40W semi-synth... meron kasi dito malapit sa amin, 1,499.00 all-in, before DIY ako, kaso since kunti lang naman difference & di naman rezing-rezing kaya yan na ginagamit ko, every 7mos or 7K whichever comes first ang change oil.
engine code dito sa atin is PH16A, 1.6 SOHC VTEC-E.
FC ko is 8-9K/L, pure city driving, moderate-heavy traffic.Last edited by redeemed; April 1st, 2012 at 03:55 PM.

May 14th, 2013 04:57 PM #13Hi Guys,
We also own a Honda Lxi. Ask ko lang where is the best magpagawa nito? (General checkup, medyo hindi pa napapacheck in years na din. Change oil at tires lang ang namemaintain). Thanks!
Lately kasi, every cold start, occasionally may tumutunog na maingay, then nawawala kapag nag-warm na engine. We think its a fan belt or something related to aircon. I observed din kasi na when aircon is on agad, the noise is much probable to occur in cold start. Thanks!

saan area mo? sa north... motor craft banawe or speedy fix sa pasig
sa south... hongly pitworkz sa sucat
with the brakes, kung maingay most probably palit brake pads tapos Kapaain yung rotor, if Madame na line marks, re face or mas madali palitan din rotor. mura lang naman rotor. halos kasing price ng re face.

May 15th, 2013 06:55 PM #17north sir. yes, option ko nga is speedy fix.

sir i need an info. i got a hand to an old honda civic 1993 esi. im not really familiar with hondas, pasensya po. nong tinignan ko engine, hindi na un ung original engine. instead a japan po8 civic engine was installed. i think its larger. i modified the kickdown cable because d original cable was short for the large engine. ang prob ko po e ung computer box nong original engine is not compatible ata dun sa engine installed kaya ung vtec ko hindi gumagana. may iba po bang paraan kung paano paganahin ito without buying a new comp box? pd ko po na i bypass ung vtec nya and will always in on position kaso d ko alam kung ano magiging effect sa engine and sa fuel comsumption ko. maraming salamat po sa magbibigay ng insights.. good day mga sir.
