June 7th, 2011 12:19 AM #1Hi guys, Im new here sa tsikot and new din sa car. Meron ako Honda Civic VTI 99 A/T and currently having problem with the temperature. Normally I drive with aircon on, sa long driving no problem ang temperature pero pag nag traffic unti unti tumataas ng hanggang 1/4 near the redline ang temp. then pag nag start ung radiator fan unti unti naman baba ung temp. After bumababa sa normal (slightly higher sa middle) mamatay ung fan, tapos ung temp tataas ulit and paulit ulit lang na ganun. Ano kaya problem?
nag palit narin ako ng:
thermostat (wala kasi dati)
thermo switch
temp. sending unit (yan nga ba tawag dito?)
Thanks to all!

Good that your rising temp is already solved.
As for the shift shock, try to have it adjusted. By the way, when was the last time your tranny fluid and filter replaced? If unknown or matagal na, have it done na. Believe me, the cost of change tranny fluid/filter is way cheaper than a tranny overhaul.
Did some independent research and decided to go with the white pearl crystal.... para maiba naman. ...
