Is it possible to install a 6 speed transmission (manual) from a 2.0 crv (new ones) into a 1.8 fd (civics)? Since they are both R series engines
Given a chance na wreck ang crv pero buo pa ang transmission plan kong installan yung fd ko.
Let's say project in the future.
Thanks...

October 30th, 2009 03:38 AM #4023i think the question the poster had in mind is between the 1.8 civic which has the R18 engine and the latest model CRV 2liter which has the R20 engine. I'm not anywhere near sure but if i would care to guess very similar ang block at heads ng R18 and R20 if not identical of course with different stroke and/or bore to account for the 200cc difference.
if the transmission will interchange i have no idea. syempre dapat manual to manual to have any chance it will work if it exists but if matic to manual then no because of the ECU

you can claim it with warranty. palit clutch master. but since it's a design flaw, babalik at babalik pa rin yung tunog.
