Dapat nilaunch nila ng Early January para mas maaga na din nakuha ang mga nagpareserve sa Civic 06.

Learned about the new civic here in the forums and placed a reservation last Feb. Kahit no details pa, paid a reservation fee na. All I saw were the pictures and the 1.8 engine, no price indication at all. I thought the price would be over 900T even for the base model. This was the trend na di ba? 1.8 Ford Focus over 900T, 1.8 Altis over 900T...
Lo and behold, the price was lower than competitors! What a pleasant surpriseGot a red 1.8s M/T btw.
Anyway, 3 weeks na, still haven't gotten my plates. Still waiting. Hello Honda Q.C.!! So i just drive my civic around during weekends (fewer police kse)
For those still waiting for their units or thinking about buying, just want to share my thoughts:
The Good (i like):
> small steering wheel (feeling sporty)
> the dash - high tech speedometer, hehe. No concerns at all about not seeing the speedo because of the steering wheel blocking it. Gulat nga ako, ang laki pala nung digital display
> Concerns about not seeing the hood in traffic because of the long dash. Sanayan lang, the hood itself is actually very short, halos same length lang ng Vios hood (we have a Vios eh). Very easy to manuever
> looker pa din yung design. still turns heads (bago kse)
> the adjustable center armrest for the driver (unusual kse for a car)
It drives great! Won't even attempt to write a review about how it drives. Our other cars are both 1.3 liter, so no comparison there. The civic just blows them away.
The Bad:
> small trunk!
> the interior upholstery seems prone to dirt (light color kse)
The very bad:
> ang tagal ng plates ko!!!

June 1st, 2006 04:21 PM #1208I share exactly the same observations as bartman. Everything from the Good, Bad and very Bad. Got my unit, a bluish silver 1.8S A/T, from Honda QC during last week of April and got my plates only last week. I found out that Honda Phils (not only the dealer) is partly at fault for the delayed regsitration/plates. They could not secure a document called CSR (from Customs?) which LTO requires from the dealer in registering a brand new vehicle.

You mean I have to wait for at least a month for the plates!? Bartman, I'm now sharing in your pain. Any of you guys without the plates yet placed a temporary "for registration" on your plate frames just to get them kafatids off your back?
