September 11th, 2017 10:12 PM #1Hi guys. Ask ko lang. Bakit. Halos dikit lang presyo ng civic ek with nissan sentra na bata pa. Marami ako nakikita 2011 less than 200k lang. Samntalang ang honda 96 stock lang 160k na agad. Bakit mura resale value ni nissan? D ba yan mgndang unit? At bakit naman napamahal ni honda?

September 11th, 2017 11:41 PM #3I don't know. Even I, asked it to myself and to others, during my college days, even up to now.
That's one good reason, why my "Bilas", afford to buy an ECCS Nissan Sentra, at a price of P38k,from its selling price of P45k, (tinawaran at panigurado na kumita tumubo na si buy and seller). In replacement from his previous motorcycle ride, which is a Bajaj Rouser 150. He (my Bilas),told me that his family, with 3kids are growing. And he can't accommodate them all in a motorcycle.
After a few check and tuning up points, we're able to made it to run on its smooth conditions.

Now riding '05 sentra, wala pa overheat since day 1, no major problem, regular change oil lang, linis aircon every 3 yrs, batery less than 3 yrs, 144k milleage.

Hype nga bro, kaya para sa akin, kahit sabihin pa nila na yan ang simbolo o spirit of Honda, hindi ko pa rin mai-aalis sa isip ko na mahigit 20 years old na ito, ergo, marami ng pagawain... altho I am aesthetically wowed by units na restored at alaga, hindi mo ako mapapabili ng ganito katanda na sasakyan, dahil feeling ko, 90% ang chance na ititirik ako nito, and i hate this kind of inconvenience...

Toyota and Honda are number 1 in terms of dependability. Well if you follow the correct maintenance. That is why they have high resale values

All hype.
Would I pick a Civic over another 90's car for a little more? Sure. Depending on the variant and condition.
Would I pick a twenty year old Civic over a six year old Sentra? No.

90's Civics have lots of issues. Radiator problems (though this is a given, for the age), fragile automatic transmissions and rust.
Not just the fender sill rust typical of Sentras and 323s of the time, but roof rust due to poor corrosion protection around the roof welds.
Add to that the typical wear and tear that comes from being twenty fricking years old.

I bought a Lynx 1.3 two years ago as a service car at just 100k pesos. Have not had to do anything to it but refill the freon due to an ultra-slow leak.
Do I regret not spending another 100k pesos for a 97-98 Civic VTi?
Hahahaha. No.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
