    well with the sales of the city about 40% of the vios, they needed an upgrade to compete. hopefully, it also prompts toyota to bring in more options to the vios

    sir L15A po ang engine code ng new City 1.5 Vtec or Idsi
    the D15 is from the old vtec city

    D15b = 117hp with Hydraulic ps
    L15A = 110 hp with eps

    Sagot ng Vios sa Thailand sa VTEC City ay Turbo power (150 HP), limited edition lang.

    BTW, the body kit used on the Thai Vios Turbo is the same kit available from Toyota Otis.

    Is it true that EPS translates to less HP wasted (more HP to the wheels) due to the fact that there is no additional pulley (PS) for the engine to turn?

    I was just thinking. This may be correct, but on the otherhand, since the PS is run electronically, this may be additional load to the alternator - ergo, additional drag made by the alternator pulley.

    Am I making sense???

    me extra cash ako i'll buy this car; 1.3l SDI, m/t, with options; mangha ako sa ULT features nya! so much better if a hatchback is being offered..
    sadly only in Thailand lang yata??! di paraw pwede sa pinas maybe pinoys are, as always on the second - if not the last - on the line.. very unfair.

    kaya kung sa kaya, pero feeling ko maiiwanan sa arangkada yung K20 ivtec sa B16 kasi napakahina para sakin yung low end torque ng 2.0L versus sa 1.6L ng EK SiR.

    They might come out with Jazz this year but it's only rumors.

    The 1.5VTEC City will be out in a few weeks if not next week.

    Just saw the 1.5 City in a dealer. IMHO, with the new 15 inch wheels, the car now looks a lot better. IMHO, it now looks more proportional.

    Some questions:

    1. Is the new City's dashboard still hard plastic like that of the previous City (Type Z model)? Or does it already have this softer rubbery plastic dashboard found on 1.6 liter & up cars?

    2. Can 17 inch wheels with 40 series 215 rubbers fit without any sayad problems? I saw in ozcity34's pbase pictures some Citys with huge rims. Ang ganda! I wonder if there were modifications done inside the wheel wells...

    3. Iread somewhere that the EPS was designed for 14 inch wheels only. Changing wheel sizes to 15 or bigger might pose problems to the EPS. ???? Iiba daw ang center of gravity of some sort????? Is this rubish?

    4. I heard that the the new City is now manufactured in the Philippines. Does this mean that even the engine is now manufactured here? If not, where are these Honda engines manufactured?

    the EPS isn't exclusive for 14 inch wheels only...iirc, the new civic 2.0 (15 inch wheels) also uses EPS
