Honda City 2010 Transmission Problem

Mga sir pa help naman. May napansin lang ako lately sa shifting ng transmission city ko.

From gear 1 - 2 parang hirap sya mag shift sa 2nd gear (umaabot sa 2k-2.5k RPM to 2nd Gear) pero pag dating sa 3rd 4th 5th gear smooth shifting na sya.

Ano kaya possible problem? help

Last feb lang sir ako nag papalit. pero advice sakin ng advisor last year is gawin ko daw every year ang palit ng fluid.

seems like a similar issue by anothere city owner here.. he changed the ignition coil.

Update: Pina check ko sa isang shop sa Banawe ang problem daw is sliding. Kailangan daw i-overhaul transmission.

Cost is 25k includes of labor and part with 3 mos warranty.

Reasonable price ba ito?

Note: Mag pa 2nd opinion pa ako sa ibang shop at try ko din sa Casa.

that sounds about right.
some folks will replace the entire AT with surplus, instead of having someone open theirs and repair it.

If you can venture to the south, try asking for a diagnosis at / d & r fast auto repair along sucat ave. Honda's tranny specialists iyong mga iyon although they service any brand models naman din very well

yessir kahit 5th opinion pa gusto ko lang ma ensure and convinced na yun ang problema.

Try ko sir visit yan reco shop nyo willing to travel naman ako as long as honda specialist sila and maayos mag presyo. Sana open sila ng weekend.

Happened to my 2010 CRV before. It started at around 50,000km but it was very seldom lang, very hard to replicate. Casa was just “noted na po yan sir” but its very obvious that they didnt check hard enough. Then coincidentally, past 60,000km when the warranty was already up, it got worse to the point that the tires would chirp everytime it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. Casa suddenly suggested to open the transmission and it might need an overhaul daw. They warned me that it will take months as they’ll send it to planta daw so I immediately said no and I never went back to that casa again.

Found a reputable mechanic somewhere in Cainta, he’s known for repairing transmissions and car electricals. He opened and checked the transmission free of charge, then found that the clutch linings are damaged. Replaced it, paid around 30k in total and til now its working perfectly. Til now we’re clueless why it got damaged, maybe some type of a factory defect? Btw the shop’s name is “WRENCH auto clinic”.
