September 22nd, 2010 10:57 AM #1Hi
Anyone here knows on where to buy a Honda City '10 Hood & Trunk Insulation?
The one quoted to me in CASA costs 1,2++ for the Hood & 8++ for the trunk, looking for other cheaper alternatives

You can do a DIY insulation using the foam/foil ceiling insulation sheet you can buy from the DIY/Hardware store.

Any suggestions, on how to mount, cut and what exactly to buy comparable to the ones being sold at CASA? or maybe actual pics that you might have?
Thanks!

Installation, you can use the version that have an adhesive side but those come in pre-cut sizes and might be smaller than needed (like for the hood).
For the ones you can normally find at the DIY store, you can use double sided tape. VHB (3M's Very High Bond) or Automotive grade double sided tape if you want to be sure.

Just curious: what would you need extra insulation for?
Do the hood and trunk give you rattling at idle or at speed?

Thanks for the suggestion
*Type 100
For the hood protects the paint from discoloration overtime
For the trunk I just prefer to have one in case that I do have some temperature sensitive stuff on my trung
