Honda Cars PH announces recall for almost 7k units | Autoindustriya

recall for the high-pressure fuel pump that affects select CR-V RS e:HEV units sold from 2023 to 2024. The faulty part could cause cracks in the system which could result in the customer smelling gasoline while idling and driving.
steering gearbox that affects 5,505 units. Symptoms of this issue include snagging, having unusual sounds and vibration while turning. HCPI says Due to the decrease in grease amount in the worm gear, meshing area of the electric power steering gearbox during use, the sliding resistance in the meshing area increases and the torque fluctuation becomes larger while turning the steering wheel. This results in an unusual sound and an unsmooth turn from steering while turning or ‘sticky steering’ that might make the driver feel a sense of unease.

Ang lungkot kanina sa Honda Alabang.

Apparently, binenta na Ng Ayala corp Ang rights Ng Alabang franchise nila sa gateway motors. It's their last day today in the site kaya nag -iimpake Sila ng katakot-takot.

Honda alabang ànd Honda bacoor aren't selling genuine spare parts na pala to individuals such as myself.

I guess it's a new management directive to force their clients to "admit" their vehicles first for servicing in order to get a hold of OEM parts.

I guess I have to go to a yuchengco owned casa to get my spare parts fix from now on. Problema Ang lalayo Ng mga iyon sa akin.

Honda Cars Makati is still under Ayala (until Dec 31). I just went there earlier to buy fluids.
I used to go to Honda Cars Manila Bay (now BYD) and Honda Cars Alabang (now under Gateway management).
Honda Cars Manila and Greenhills are not under Ayala so probably they don't sell spare parts/fluids to walk-in clients.

Has anyone tried to directly contact the "planta" in Laguna? I overheard earlier that they (the delearship) place their order from the planta. Then, the planta will source/import it (e.g., from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.).

No WR-V? That’s surprising! I wonder if they’re holding it off for a later release or focusing on other segments first. Excited to see what the 3 new models are though

just to clarify, Honda cars manila bay doesn't sell to walk-in clients too?

The guy at Honda cars bacoor suggested to try Honda dasmarinas but I'm not too hot on that idea.

I guess Honda alabang should have started operating their new facility along the west service road by now. Sabi Ng ginoong sekyu nila na nakausap ko Last month, target nila tuloyang lumipat from their old site to the new one is before December.

And if indeed Honda alabang has resumed normal operations , I hope they're back to selling OEM spare parts and fluids for their loyal customer base.

My hunch is that something happened in the background which soured the relationship between Honda PH and Ayala.

Unlike VW, Honda is actually still selling relatively well, with some of the dealerships / service centers having very loyal customers (like the one in Alabang). ACMobility was not losing money with Honda, in fact, having Honda under its wing gave the Ayalas a good base of knowledge, skill, and customers which was used to cross-pollinate their automotive business.

You're probably right because, afaik , the Ayalas haven't given up their Isuzu dealerships... yet.

My thoughts also. When we bought our D-Max before, we were a few thousands away from that Ayala loyalty card.
The Ayala group says they want to lead EV in PH., but why keep Isuzu dealership..how much EV/hybrids do they have..

Again, personal theory lang. Isuzu doesn't have an EV, pero they might have promised A/C that they will bring the Electric D-Max here in the future.

In the case of Honda. Matagal nang may Grace overseas, nandito na yung Ativ and still no sign if the Honda Grace will ever be available here.

Yes, there's the Civic, CR-V and HR-V hybrid. Pero Honda's best sellers, the BR-V and City does not have hybrid versions locally.
