Its with the 7th gen civic that they shifted to mcpherson front suspension because it is easier less complicated to manufacture and maintain.

You both are correct. I'm more familiar w/ the EG & EK. The family had the former briefly, brother has kept the latter to this day & has no plans letting go. Good Hondas!

Of course, but wala ng assembly/production.

Yan rason why companies delay the announcements as much as possible.

Local workers are too emotional and not professional enough to just work. Now instead of March 20 ba yun napaaga lalo close...

Too emotional to even claim na if not for their blood, sweat and tears hindi daw mararating ng Company what it achieved, nakalimutan ata nila ba sila na rin nagsabi na maganda compensation and benefits kapalit ng pagod nila.

Ganun naman labor e. They never realize that capital is more important than labor. Labor can be obtained easily especially in a poor country like the Philippines (this ain't Japan na declining population and a very developed economy) kaysa capital...

isipin mo alam ng management ang pwede gawin ng mga empleyado kaya they announced the plant closure in the canteen rather than at the production floor

alam nila pwede isabotahe ng mga empleyado ang equipment ng planta

It's typical of Marxists to complain about the surplus value/labor exploitation nonsense.
They often assume that labor is the sole, critical factor in the production of goods when in fact, capital itself creates value by increasing productivity.

A company is looking to buy Honda Cars PH's factory in Laguna

With Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) set to fully close their manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna, the 28-year old factory will be vacated in the coming weeks. However, it looks like another company is interested in setting up shop at HCPI's factory soon.

According to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez, a company recently showed interest in buying the HCPI facility. Lopez mentioned that the firm is not necessarily in the automotive industry, but has been operating in the country for years now.

“That’s our point. If a company left, then some will expand. They would like to locate here, (for the) expansion of their operation,” said Lopez. When asked who may be the company that is looking to buy the factory, Lopez declined to say as to who they are.

Once the HCPI factory officially closes its doors, 387 employees will be let go (with 280% separation package of a worker's monthly salary for every year of service) following its official closure this coming March 25. However, it's not only the workers that will be affected as several parts suppliers will also take a hit due to the abrupt closure of the facility. According to Ferdi Raquelsantos of the Philippine Parts Maker Association (PPMA), it will cost the local parts industry an estimated PhP 240 million in lost revenue.
