The Innova is still king of the MPV market. I don't think the BRV will threaten the foothold the Innova has on the local market. If Honda released a diesel-powered model of the BRV, then the competition with the Innova will surely flourish.

If this is really priced 1M, then it will kill all the 1M srp sedans like corolla, civic, mz3, elantra' top of the line, mz2, accent, city and vios and all Hatchbacks priced at 900++

But i doubt if it can affect the ecosport and the innova.

With the current local market's affinity towards crossovers and PPVs, I guess the Mobilio MPV might take a hit. The BRV might even take a big portion of the sales of the HRV, Civic, and CRV.

The BRV will surely sell based on the current market trend. It carries Honda's assumed prestige, it can seat 7 people, and it comes with a fuel efficient small displacement engine.

I doubt it will be that big a bomb. It will definitely hurt some of the competition, but this is a Mobilio platform... meaning it will be narrow and will have lower-rent plastic than the HR-V.

    Still

Agree with Niky, I would think that it will have some effect on the sales of Innova and the Mobilio, but not that big... since the Innova is in a different league (and a different targeted market), and the Mobilio is about P100k+ cheaper on the comparable trim (also a different target market).

I would think it will definitely eat up a lot on the market of the HR-V (cheaper Honda compact "SUV") and the Ecosport (a more practical "7-seater", but still relatively affordable compact "SUV").

...what I meant was that those currently considering the Ecosport primarily likes the looks and the "SUV" stance of the vehicle -- along with the low price tag of the vehicle. They are now provided with an option of a similar offering ("SUV" stance) that has better space/practicality for just a little bit more money... and more reliability in the A/T as well.

Fafa, para di naman kelangan apektuhan ang HRV. Bagsak naman sales ng HRV to begin with.

Parang pang special na lang yun like the Juke lovers like me, eh kaya lang bat pa bibile ng HRV kung 980k lang Juke

They got the pricing right on the BRV. Finally, an affordable SUV for Honda Pakboys.

Bro legroom in the 3rd row of the brv is better than that of the ertiga and avanza. 2nd row is also sliding.

sa pricing nya w/c slots in the middle ng mga sedan and mpv/subcompacts it's possible kukuha yan from both markets.
baka pati sa mga mini-crossovers. and also nagmahal na innova pati.

Probably but they don't market them as "7 seater SUV"

Err. 1M. Why wont honda bring the manual version of this instead? At 900k, it can prolly challenge the avanza.

For me, they should just ditch the mobilio. It proportions are off imo
