Honda Anti-carnapping feature

ask ko lang if the anti-carnap feature of our honda is really effective? talaga bang hindi sya ma-iistart if may force entry?

it is called engine immobilizer. it will not start if you don't have the key that matches your engine's code. check with the dealership if the car you want have this feature.

not really. kung may vallet key ka try mong paduplicate yung susi. guarantee na aandar ang kotse mo kahit wala sayo yung original na susi may immobiliser man o wala. so kung professional yung nagcacarnap kaya nilang i-pick any car. unless ang kotse mo ay sensor na parang infra-red sa dulo ang susian tulad sa mercedes hindi mo mastart yung engine.

tried sa '09 ('08 model) civic. kailangan original ang susi. 'ung duplicate, pambukas lang ng pinto.

it also pays to use the right auto-lock/unlock settings for the door locks.

i doubt it. honda keys have chips inside that cannot be duplicated by a locksmith. these chips need programming (pairing) before the engine accepts the code.

it might not be as sophisticated as BMWs nor MBs, but it works.
