Truer words were never spoken.
You have a Mazda3.
For the same fuel consumption that you might get out of an old 1.6 AT Lancer or Sentra (actually, better... since you have a closed-loop EFI system)... you've got a comfortable interior, a smooth ride, a good looking and good driving car.
You're going to give that up for a Honda City... that, though it is more fuel efficient and faster, is smaller, has a less attractive interior, harder seats and a harsher ride?
If you want to maintain the same "feel" as your Mazda3... you can just option up to a brand-new Jazz... the suspension tuning and seats are closer to the Mazda3 (now with even more space, to boot), while still retaining the low fuel consumption of the previous model.
Otherwise, just wait for your payments to end. You could also just borrow your brother's car in exchange for doing his PMS. He has to do PMS whether he uses it or not, so just do small maintenance and repairs on his car in exchange for borrowing it (that's what I do when I borrow rides).

Chery QQ3... I don't know... I'd be wary of resale and suspension issues... if you can afford a better class of car, go for the Hyundai i10... fantastic little machine. Just get a manual... small engines plus AT really don't make for good economy, and it won't be much better than your Mazda3, due to that.
Relative resale value is always higher for the smaller-engined car. Secondhand buyers value fuel efficiency, and are willing to pay a lot for a secondhand.
One interesting secondhand buy... why not a Toyota Vios 1.3? Toyota resale isn't as ridiculously high as Honda, so you might be able to get a bargain. (though the Vios isn't even as roomy as the Honda City... so it's an even bigger downgrade from the Mazda3).
