February 19th, 2011 07:06 PM #1Good day mga sirs. Im planning to have my fd an HID bulb. pero wala ako kaalam alam about the HID. all i know is it look good for my fd. madami po akong mga questions, hopefully you'll help me.
May nagoffer po sa akin ng HID sabi nya 6000k for 7.5k/pair. so 3 pairs po diba kasi 3 bulbs? foglights, high beam, lowbeam.. is it the right price? my budget kasi is only 17k.
ano po ba itong 6000k, 8000k? what does it mean. ilang "k" po ang maganda sa fd? yung hindi masyadong maliwanag o mahina.
Kung magpapa-HID na po ba kami. matagal ang life ng bulb? mga ilang years po?
thx in advance.

Just get the low beams as this is what you will use most of the time. I got a pair of HID's for my civic for only 5k.

Better research first before you unintentionally start blinding incoming traffic
I'd only get it for the low beams.
High beam - not practical as HIDs have a brief warmup time. It effectively removes your ability to "flash" other cars
Fog lights - better check your housing. Might melt the plastic off it. IMO, better get all weathers rather than HID. Angled wrongly, you might start reflecting light off the slippery road surface after a drizzle.

hid's are not designed to be installed in halogen reflectors. you'll just blind incoming traffic. better get projectors instead. 17K budget is more than enough for a good set of projectors.

HID kits now sell for as low as P4k a pair. Look around for the best price and warranty package. I suggest you choose from the 3000k to 4300k only. They're effective in foggy conditions, yet not so glaring to oncoming vehicles. HTH

I saw an ad in Sulit before, HID single beam for only P1,800, install not included though. :D

Dami ng bolt on projectors ngayon TS..you can consider them also if you want to use HID and not glare at on-coming cars at the same time....yun nga lang biyak HL ka
IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
