Surplus lang pag asa mo kung mura hanap mo.

Pero suggestion ko measure mo muna thinckness. Baka naman within specs pa kahit ipa machine shop.

Check if you can still resurface those rotors. It's cheaper than getting new ones or surplus.

By the way, how did your rotors get worn out? You would have heard screaching sounds when the brake pads started eating into the rotors.

A 7 year old car with worn out rotors?!? My previous pickup of more than 18 years has its original rotors before I sold them. Had changed the brake pads months before selling and the rotors are still OK. You must be braking really hard or naka ilang reface ka na siguro.

Rotors will not give way unless the brake pads are not replaced regularly. It would be good to just visually inspect the pads every other time you do an oil change. If you see unwanted grooves being cut into the rotor face, then get a mechanic to check the pads and replace them if necessary. Some change pads every 30k or 40k km. AT cars usually change pads earlier than MT cars.

Question lang po, ilan na mileage nung kotse? Ano daw reason bakit kelangan palitan yung rotors?

Both our cars still have original rotors at 134,000 and 150,000 km, and both cars never had any rotors refaced either.

I've replaced mine since the difference is so small (machine shop vs replacement). Got a brand new pair for 2.2k and the machine shop is asking 1.4k for refacing the pair. Pwede pa pamachine shop pero I feel safer with an 800 difference.

Saan ka nakabili at anong brand ito sir Archie? Last Dec 2008, nakayod ng brake pad wear indicator ang rotors ko, so my ugly deep lines ito. Nagpa quote ako nun sa suking auto supply ko and it was 3,400 * (P6,800/pair) dati. Anyway I did not replace it nor have it machine shopped. That was 71,000 kms and 5 years ago, ayos pa rin ngayon. Just want to know my options as it may need to be replaced soon.

It does not matter if the mileage is low or high. It depends on neglect of brake pads replacement or malakas kumain ng rotors yung Nakuhang break pads.

Powerplus is an inexpensive, readily available, and quite reliable brand. We use them on big suv's and vans. They might have a model to fit your car. For a late model Land Cruiser, the srp of these things in Banawe was Php3500/pc. The Jazz has smaller brakes so I presume the cost will be less.

We pair them up with Bendix general ct pads most of the time.

Doc Otep, the powerplus for that price is slotted or drilled? Or just stock? How's the braking with CT pads on a big rig?
