Help mga sir about 2008 honda city 1.5 VTEC FC

Hi mga sirs dito po sa tsikot...

My tita recently recieved a brand new 2008 honda city 1.5 CVT.. it has less than 2k on the odometer, but our problem is that it guzzles up more fuel than usual. Our FC usually ranges fro 5-7.2 km/l. Is this normal? any solutions po if it is normal?

bossing abnormal yan given na normal lang ang tapak nung driver sa gas pedal at di laging galit, patingin nyo na agad yan...

Sir, kasi po n abasa ko sa net na dapat nasa low double digits ang FC namin.. mga 10-11 km/l.. Btw ung amin top of the line na CVT.. madalas kami mag 7 speed eh.. Daily Driver siya usually, kamuning to regalado ave. via commonwealth.

What's your route, and what vehicle did you own previously and what fuel economy did it get on the same trip?

sir andun po pinost ko baka mag double eh. My dad thinks kasi na pang 2.0 na ung consumpotion ng 1.5 VTEC City namin.

madalas mag 7speed

ehhhh kaya naman pala eh! just drive in D mode. D mode is economy mode! and D or S with 7speed is not. keep your revs down. i dont rev beyond 1500 everyday. my mileage? astonishing 15km/l in the city! i managed to hit 22km/l highway driving!

7speed consumes more gas. dont drive in that mode if you want to have good mileage. 7 speed is for high speed high revving adrenaline rush situations. hence, gas guzzler

Sir, salamat po sa reply. We will have the car checked up at honda makati this saturday. I think they will use a "fuel pen" to measure the cars consumption and then make the necessary adjustments. Hoping to get sir suysuy's magic figure of 15 km/l here in manila.
