July 1st, 2009 08:00 AM #1Kindly help me on this please. Mine is Honda CRV05 and one of my auxillary fans is broken/motor is busted (the one on the driver side and the smaller one). I went to honda casa, said i have to replace the whole fan, it costs P8,500 plus P1,600 for the labor. Then i went to aircon shops, said only the fan motor is broken and needs replacement (cost P1.6K) though some says the fan is assembly. Anyone went through the same problem? Is it really an assembly or not? Thanks!!

normally ang nasisira lang dyan is yung motor. kung hinde naman kayo maselan at gusto niyo makatipid you can buy replacement motors (not sure sa crv) or surplus aux fans sa mga suking surplus shops.
in my experience nakapagpalit na ako ng aux fan at aircon fan para sa EK ko and so far tumatagal naman sila. for 1000-1500 for a surplus fan pwede na.
nag check din ako sa casa last time ganyan talaga ang presuyan nila.

First check out the fuse, if it's busted then have it replaced this should solve the problem. If the fuse is okay then you have to test the fan if it is still operational, the shop usually does is directly giving it power to see if the blades will turn, if not then the motor fan is busted, you can buy the motor only either brand new or surplus, but I would recommend that you get the brand new one. Good luck.

July 4th, 2009 03:08 AM #10Replaceable yung auxiliary fan motor ng crv. Ang ginawa ko kse ganito. Tinanggal ng mechanic yung aux fan tapos dinouble check nya with a tester...mabagal na talalga ang takbo ng fan. Sigurado fan na problem...Nagpasama ako sa kanya sa surplusan with the aux fan na sira para cgurado na match ang piyesa. Nakakita kmi toyota aux fan but exactly the same ang itsura...so pinakabit namin sa surplusan yung fan sa assembly. Nagfit naman tapos we tested it again.Ayos, hataw pa takbo ng fan. We came back to his shop tapos pinalit nya lang yung old harness...ayus....
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
