October 10th, 2009 01:36 PM #3Try inquiring sa Forcedspeed. I recall in one TOYS FOR D BOYS mag issue na may ginawa silang ganyan. Pero by theory I think wala masyadong gains and worst, baka mastress ng husto ang internals mo since the boring in the chamber is too little/not strong enough to tolerate such high induced pressure from the turbo.. remember 1200cc lang yan, carb pa...
Magkano daw? Baka naman mas mahal pa kesa magpatransplant ka ng ph16, d15b or d16a...Papost naman dito kung magkano daw, hehe.. at kung ano yung mga kasama sa kit? May intercooler na ba?
Naka-d15b N.A. ako and have not yet seen/ridden on one that runs on turbo, pero based on entries sa forums ng JDM d15b tuners here and abroad, sabi nila malakas daw yun but relatively lang siguro... not strong enough to outrun an NA b16a, sabayan siguro kaya ... Well, depende din sa pagkakagawa. Gagastusan mo ng husto yan. Put in a jdm d15b first (yung efi, wag yung dual carb) tsaka mo na po ito problemahin...
d15b yata nasa around 45k up. Not sure kung ano yung mga accessories na kasama nun. Try mo sa hongly alam ko sanay sila sa mga honda engine transplants...

Engines with high compression ratio pistons do not take to turbocharging well. At best, it would be limited to about 6 to 8 psi boost. Any higher would lead to engine damage.

Unless you change to forged internals or lower the engine's compression to take higher boost levels.
I'd go for supercharging VTEC's but it's quite expensive here.
