Help in Choosing New Engine

I have a 1996 Honda Civic 1.6 bought in the Philippines with a damaged engine block.

My mechanic only has two available engines:

A. 1.5 VTEC
B. 1.6 Non-VTEC

Both are imports from Japan and have complete documents. Which one is the best to use to replace my existing one.

Look for the dual VTEC solenoid

I suggest u go frankestein....b20 block (crv) with a b16 head... problem is the tranny.. u need either a ys1 or an s1 tranny.... if ur looking for a budget swap yea d15b straight bolt on swap....
