KIA and Isuzu, Nearest is Honda Cars is 8 hours away Cagayan de Oro City) knowing na casa sila ay pinagkatiwala namin yung sasakyan. Long story short, binuksan nila steering wheel at airbag system at sinabi nila hindi daw nila kaya.
Maybe gas papunta?
At dinala namin sa ibang shop, mas maliit pero sinabi nila na kaya daw sana nila gawin at sa tingin ko kaya talaga nila dahil may gamit daw sila pang honda at may Gen1 crv at 2 honda civic 98 at at 2001 sa talyer nila, pero ayaw daw nila gawin dahil nagka ilaw yung SRS at hindi nila ma trace kung ano ang ginawa ng Isuzu, of course playing safe na sila at they won't take our words regarding sa nangyari. Dun na kami nag sisi
The SRS warning light means the airbag system did not pass the start-up auto-check of the car. It also means it will not function in case of a bad accident.
Given the steering wheel was removed, it is possible the wires going to the airbag was not connected properly or the "donut" ring (where the wires pass through) have suffered some damage.
As for getting the horn to function, maybe you can temporarily re-wire the horn to a temporary button from the engine bay to the dashboard. The wire will pass under the hood and through the driver door. It will not be pretty but it should give you a horn for your long drive.
Thank you so much for the reply sir. That really gave me an idea, hanapin ko na lang yung wire pa pakabitan ng temporary switch.
Dahil sa ginawa nila kelangan namin mag drive ng 8hours purely highway no traffic and go back to the nearest Honda casa dahi wala ng auto shop ang gusto gumawa.
why get the wire of your horn from the engine bay?? you can get the wire from your steering column.. its ground trigger all you need is to extend the wire where it can reach for body ground...
first thing you should have done is to test if the horns are working and if there is power to the horns.. have you checked the fuse??
removing the steering wheel of an SRS airbag equipped car should be done with an extra care.. especially of the clock wire where the horn and airbag wires run...
